#6 - Transform-a-Snack: Saucy BBQ

21/8/18 - Reading

This is surprisingly the first time I’ve ever tried Transform-a-Snack crisps and I was pleasantly surprised by this flavour!

Anything to do with BBQ is a go-to for me because who doesn’t love a BBQ? These crisps are covered in their flavouring similar to that of a Wotsit or Monster Munch so every bite is guaranteed delight. And that rhyme was intentional.

My only gripe with these crisps is that there are not a lot of crisps in the small packets, but that’s understandable as these are supposed to be small snacks so there’s not much I can complain about. I look forward to trying the other flavours that Transform-a-Snack have to offer (spicy is on the way)!

Unfortunately I did not make a car out of my crisps...

#3 - Walkers: Prawn Cocktail

17/8/18 - Reading Before you say anything, I know this is the third Walkers review in a row but it’s easy to get the ball rolling! I have two more crisp reviews in the pipeline in which one of them are made by Walkers but that doesn’t matter! Anyway, Prawn Cocktail. This is one of my favourite flavours that Walkers have produced. When that bag opens you are greeted by an explosion of the sweet smell of the trademark seasoning that covers each crisp to a standard everyone can be proud of.  The taste, oh, the taste. One word to describe Walkers’ Prawn Cocktail is tangy.  But it’s tangy in a way that’s enjoyable and makes you come back for more. They do not taste the same as my Nan’s Christmas Prawn Cocktail, but that’s okay. I’d even go as far to say that these crisps are better than my Nan’s Prawn Cocktail but don’t tell her I said that. 4/5 Next episode: Walkers: Quavers

#4 - Quavers

20/8/18 - Reading This is a crisp that I have enjoyed for countless years. It was given to me as a child, and I will give this to my child. Quavers are for everyone and that is important in today’s society. Quavers for all ages. Cheese is an interesting flavour for a crisp because it can smell, but surprisingly these crisps do not smell and are instead light and fluffy in their stench which is appealing to the nose.  Like other crisps, you are usually gifted with a bag of air with a few sliced potatoes. However, with the cheese flavoured Quavers, you open the bag and they are literally flying into your face, overflowing out of the bag, covering you in that cheesy dust. This is a good thing.  I am welcomed our first guest reviewer for this blog. Please welcome, Rhiannon “The Amazing” Davis (her choice). She went on her lunch break the same time as myself and to my shock, had bought Quavers with her pasta. It only seemed right to get her opinion on this cheesy snack:  “I l...

#1 - Walkers: Cheese and Onion

15/8/18 - Reading It’s not a crisp review if I don’t kick it off with the classic Cheese and Onion from everyone’s favourite, Walkers! I found these in my cupboard because I needed crisps urgently and these were the only ones available at hands reach, also the only ones in the house other than Prawn Cocktail (look out for that post in the future).  So, the taste test. I found these particularly stale because I don’t know when they were bought and how long they’ve been in the cupboard for. Slightly disappointed because I do like Cheese and Onion, but today was not one of those days. Side note: this packet expires on October 20th 2018 which is pretty close. To add to the crisps being abandoned for an unknown time, they were surprisingly broken which I was not expecting but did not ruin the experience (or what there was of an experience). Walkers say that they are “proud to put the delicious crunch into the nation’s favourite crisps”, which they did deliver on, I ju...
